Global appliance company Electrolux Group – under its premium brand AEG – is showcasing, for the first time, its most resource-efficient models at IFA 2023: the AEG EcoLine. AEG EcoLine is a dedicated selection, presented in-store and online, of the company’s most resource efficient appliances covering all major product categories and aimed at helping consumers to reduce climate impact while providing high-quality performance. Global appliance company Electrolux – under its premium brand AEG – reveals a new range of washing machines and tumble dryers that automatically adjust time, water, and energy usage. A new add-on filter catches up to 90% of microplastic fibers released by synthetic clothing. The world premiere takes place at global tech event IFA in Berlin on September 2-6, 2022. Improved vacuum cleaner efficiency cuts CO2 emissions, boosts performance

Electrolux vacuum cleaners sold in Europe this year will be 40% more energy efficient and save 730 gigawatt hours in electricity consumption compared to the product lineup from 2005. This is equal to the yearly energy consumption of 200,000 households and emissions of 290,000 tons of CO2. The overall outlook is that Electrolux vacuum cleaners will use 58% less energy by 2018 while the performance only gets better.

Electrolux tests system that reduces risk of overloads in the power grid due to cold temperatures

This winter’s cold temperatures in Northern Europe has caused risk for energy shortage. Authorities urges households to use their washing machine and other appliances during nights in order to mitigate power peaks. A smart grid project co-initiated by Electrolux could reduce this risk. In the project, households are testing a system for smart appliances that automatically detect and avoid consumption during peak periods of the day.
