Electrolux is committed to make a positive difference for women in the workplace. Our new target for female leaders is to have 35 percent women in senior-level positions by 2020, in line with the current ratio of females in our workforce.
In 2012, Electrolux defined global objectives to increase the number of female leaders in the company. The new target is the next step in our drive to continuously improve the number of female leaders at Electrolux and is reflected in our recruitment policy where we actively seek female applicants for every position.
“Our ambition is to become the employer of choice and best in class when it comes to gender diversity,” says Lars Worsøe Petersen, SVP HR & Organizational Development. “That’s why it was important to us to establish this new target.”
As further proof of Electrolux’s commitment to this important topic, our senior management are supporting an initiative called Women at Electrolux to promote the power of gender diversity in the workplace. There are now three Women at Electrolux networks in place in North America, Latin America and Sweden, with plans to add more locations in the future.
International Women’s Day is being celebrated across the Group on March 8, with networking, community events and workshops. On March 12, the Stockholm-based Women at Electrolux network will kick off with CFO Anna Ohlsson-Leijon sharing her experiences about the importance of gender diversity on stage at the headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden.
