Electrolux and AIESEC – Four years of a successful partnership

Electrolux began its global cooperation with AIESEC, the world’s largest student organization, just four years ago. Since that time, Electrolux has hosted nearly 100 interns for a mutually beneficial partnership.

The interns at Electrolux have come from more than 35 countries to work at more than 25 Electrolux locations around the world. And Electrolux has retained about 70% of the interns who have completed their internships for full-time work within the Group.

Through this partnership Electrolux managers are able to recruit international talent for a initially short-term specific assignment or entry-level position.

“We have appreciated the high-caliber talent we have brought to Electrolux thanks to our partnership with AIESEC,” says Ann Gårdmark, head of Talent Management at Electrolux. She explains that one benefit of the partnership is to increase the number of young potentials in the Group and to develop Electrolux as a strong employer brand.

“Greater gender and cultural diversity is an additional benefit, since the AIESEC interns come from many different countries, and the majority are female.”

In 2006 Electrolux had 29 interns from AIESEC in many different locations. Most of the internships have been in the area of finance, supply chain, marketing and HR.
