Charlotte, NC, August 27, 2025 – Electrolux Group today donated more than $100,000 worth of room air conditioners to the Lenoir/Greene United Way, which will distribute the appliances to vulnerable residents across Lenoir and Greene counties and surrounding communities. Several local nonprofits, including Hope Restorations, Lenoir County Council on Aging and Greene County Interfaith, are supporting the distribution effort.
“When summer temperatures soar, access to cooling can mean the difference between comfort and crisis,” said Jeff Britt, plant manager at Electrolux Group’s Kinston dishwasher facility. “We believe in backing local efforts that make homes safer and healthier, because strong communities start with meeting basic needs.”
Volunteers from the Electrolux Group’s Kinston manufacturing factory brought the company’s purpose – shape living for the better – to life by helping load air conditioning units into recipients’ vehicles.
