Panasonic Oasys Home featuring Electrolux Kitchen & Laundry

The OASYS™ Concept Home is Panasonic’s vision for the future of high-performance, sustainable living. It’s a fully connected, net-zero smart home designed to showcase the capabilities of the OASYS™ system—a next-generation HVAC and indoor air quality solution that prioritizes wellness, energy efficiency, and resilience. Panasonic teamed up with Electrolux for the appliances (kitchen & laundry) in the first North American concept homes, now officially opened in Houston.

This fully connected smart home serves as a living showcase for builders, architects, and construction professionals, offering a firsthand look at how Panasonic is making affordable, energy-efficient living more accessible.

Why Houston?

With its hot, humid climate and high energy demands, Houston provides the ideal proving ground for Panasonic’s whole-home air quality management system. Traditional HVAC systems often struggle in such conditions, consuming over half of a home’s energy.* OASYS™ is engineered to change that—delivering cleaner air, balanced humidity, and consistent comfort while reducing energy use for heating and cooling by up to 53%.**

A Smarter, More Comfortable Home

The OASYS™ Concept Home is more than a model—it’s a real residence. A family will live in the four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom home, helping Panasonic test and refine its technologies in a real-world setting. This hands-on approach will generate insights to shape the next generation of home innovations.

A Win for Builders, Buyers, and the Planet

For builders and architects, OASYS™ offers a compelling way to differentiate high-performance homes. For homeowners, it means lower energy bills, better air quality, and year-round comfort. And for the planet, it’s a step toward more sustainable, zero-energy-ready housing.

Electrolux modern appliances featured in the OASYS™ Concept Home

From high-capacity refrigeration to powerful cleaning and precise cooking, each Electrolux appliance is thoughtfully engineered for modern living – making it a great fit for the OASYS™ Concept Home.

By modernizing care technology for all fabrics and inspiring better garment care to halve its environmental impact. Electrolux have already made great strides towards reducing the company´s environmental footprint. And have pledge to complete a bold list of actions by 2030 to better the company, the way we eat, the way we care for our clothes, and our home environment.

Elevate Everyday Living with Electrolux

Designed to blend beautifully into a built-in column layout, the single-door refrigerator and freezer units each offers spacious capacity. Inside, TasteLock™ Plus Crispers maintain the natural freshness of produce with smart humidity control and ethylene-absorbing technology. The LuxCool™ Cooling System keeps internal temperatures consistent using intelligent sensors, while ENERGY STAR® certification ensures energy-conscious performance.

Effortless Cleaning with SmartBoost™ Dishwasher

The 24″ stainless steel built-in dishwasher combines quiet power with advanced tech. With SmartBoost™ Clean Technology, detergent is mixed with water before reaching your dishes—maximizing cleaning performance, even on baked-on messes. Operating at just 45 dBA, it’s nearly silent. Energy-saving modes help reduce water usage by over 1,000 gallons per year***, and every unit is assembled in a certified zero-waste-to-landfill facility.

Culinary Precision with Induction Freestanding Range

For passionate home cooks, the 36″ freestanding induction range offers fast, responsive heat that’s easier to clean than traditional gas or electric cooktops. True Convection technology ensures even baking, while a one-hour, steam-based clean leaves the oven spotless without chemicals. An integrated temperature probe takes the guesswork out of roasting, and a clever bridge feature lets you link two elements—perfect for griddles or oversized cookware.

*U.S. Energy Information Administration, Residential Energy Consumption Survey 2020. Summary can be found on “Uses of Energy explained” page.
** Based on a July 2024 analysis commissioned by Panasonic comparing the OASYS solution against conventional system designs, using a two-story, 4-bedroom, 3.5- bathroom house with light concrete tile roofing and a ventilated crawlspace underneath the first floor as the model home. Energy savings compare a Panasonic high efficiency design including an OASYS high efficiency custom HVAC system and high-performance envelope, to a code minimum house design utilizing a standard gas furnace. Energy demand was converted and standardized to kilowatt hours (kWh), with the model estimating 5,932 kWh annual energy consumption for the OASYS system compared to an estimated 12,744 kWh annual energy consumption for the conventional system, a reduction in annual energy consumption of 53%. The U.S. Department of Energy’s IES Virtual Environment software was used to produce an HVAC load sizing report, while the building’s energy usage was assessed with the National Renewable Energy Lab’s BEopt tool.
