The future of laundry uses less water. Full stop.

Electrolux Group is rethinking laundry to use less water in every cycle, reducing energy consumption and improving fabric care.

The way we care for our clothes and our homes shapes how we care for the world. We accelerate our sustainability journey with advances that make everyday laundering more resource-efficient, more intuitive and gentler on the garments people love, without compromising results.

Recent launches include the Electrolux 700 Series front load laundry pair in North America, recognized for its energy-saving performance and default cold-water setting.

Efficiency that goes further

In Europe, our most efficient washing machines perform better than the threshold to achieve the A energy efficiency class, with leading models pushing efficiency up to 60% beyond the threshold to obtain the A energy efficiency class.(1) With our most efficient tumble dryers, we meet the tough requirement of the new energy label to reach A class.

Across laundry and drying, features such as SmartSelect, UltraQuick, SensiCare+ and advanced humidity sensors enable machines to adapt to load size and fabric type, with SmartSelect also adjusting cycles based on soil level. Together, these technologies support faster, lower-temperature and more efficient care across markets.

Cleaning with less water

Our recent Care launches in Europe and Latin America introduce features that can help consumers save water, energy and time without compromising results.

 In Europe:

  • SmartSelect tailors wash cycles to user needs, saving up to 80% energy, 50% time and 20% water.(2)
  • UltraQuick delivers exceptional stain removal at just 30°C, thanks to advanced pre-mixing technology and quick-wash performance, saving up to 30% energy at lower temperatures.(3)
  • SensiCare+ detects load size and automatically adjusts water and energy usage, preventing overwashing and cutting resource use by up to 40%.(4)
  • SteamRefresh refreshes garments and reduces wrinkles with natural steam, using up to 96% less water than a full wash.(5)

In Latin America:

  • Power Jet technology helps clothes last longer by reducing color fading by 35%, wear by 50%, and saving up to 50 liters of water per load.(6)

In North America:

  • Cold-water optimized washing enables effective cleaning at lower temperatures, reducing energy use. The Electrolux 700 Series front load laundry pair, a 2025 Sustainable Product of the Year by Green Builder Media, features a default cold-water setting for efficient, high-performance cleaning.

Better protection for fabric

  • DelicateCare with Heat Pump adjusts temperature and drum motion to help garments maintain their shape and texture.
  • Electrolux PerfectCare 900 washer-dryer models support everything from wool and outdoor gear to delicate silks.

Drying, upgraded

  • SmartSave reduces energy use by up to 20% or shortens drying time by as much as 50 minutes.(7)
  • 3DSense Technology detects moisture deep within fabrics, ensuring complete drying and restoring fluffiness without over-drying.(8)
  • SyncDry synchronizes connected washers and dryers for a smooth laundry flow.
  • In North America, Balanced Dry™ and LuxCare® Dry use precise sensors to prevent over‑ or under‑drying, and the Wear It Again™ cycle offers a quick refresh for lightly worn fabrics without running a full wash.

The recognition we received

In Germany, two dryers from our AEG brand — the 8000 AbsoluteCare® and 9000 AbsoluteCare® Plus — took first place in Stiftung Warentest’s 2025 review, earning top marks for drying performance, fabric care and energy efficiency. This marks AEG’s fifth consecutive win in two years, a record unmatched by any other brand.

In France, Electrolux and AEG products were named among the most durable in Darty’s 2025 evaluation, based on 1.8 million real-world repairs. Electrolux led 13 categories, including washing machines, ovens and air conditioners, with AEG also earning top positions.

In North America, the Electrolux 700 Series Front Load laundry pair was included in the 2025 Sustainable Product of the Year list by Green Builder Media, which recognized its energy savings, cleaning performance and default cold-water wash setting.

The innovation you don’t see

Much of this progress happens inside the machine. Our Care range includes features such as:

  • Advanced humidity and moisture sensors
  • Optimized motors and heat-pump systems
  • Adaptive algorithms
  • Smarter water- and detergent-activation technology

These internal systems enable effective cleaning at lower temperatures, reduced energy and water use during laundry cycles and more precise fabric protection.

Our new Care Index supports better choices by comparing wash programs based on their ability to extend clothing life. It shows how shorter, cooler cycles can clean effectively while being gentler on fabrics and reducing energy use.

Innovation for all

Many of our most resource-efficient features begin in premium ranges — where we explore new motors, sensors, drum dynamics and care systems — before scaling across broader product segments. By making innovation accessible, we ensure intelligent, resource-saving technologies reach more homes more quickly.
