Factory transition on track for premium top-load laundry production in first half of 2027
Anderson, S.C. (September 21, 2026) — Electrolux Group and Midea Group have officially launched their new joint venture, marking a major milestone of the Anderson facility’s transformation to premium top‑load laundry production. A new chapter for the company's South Carolina manufacturing operations, the facility now operates as Electrolux Midea Appliance Manufacturing (EMAM) and is bringing new manufacturing and investment to Anderson County.
Announced earlier this year, the partnership establishes Electrolux Group as the majority owner, and the team is moving quickly to convert the facility. Key transition highlights:

Nearly three quarters of the former factory’s planned decommissioning has now been completed to prepare for the new production lines.

Heavy‑equipment foundations are being poured for new presses and machinery.

State-of-the-art manufacturing equipment arrives in November.
