Electrolux showcased its latest innovations and investments in operations this week at Hannover Messe, the world’s largest industry technology fair.
With Electrolux investing significantly to increase automation and digitalization, the theme of this year’s fair “Integrated Industry – Industrial Intelligence” provided the ideal backdrop for Electrolux to showcase its latest innovations and investments in operations.
As a Gold Sponsor of the event, Electrolux also played an important part in partner country Sweden’s Co-Lab pavilion, which showcased insights into how Sweden is managing innovation, digitalization, sustainability and openness throughout the entire value chain. Electrolux demonstrated its 3D printing of plastic trays used in refrigerators, and also showcased Intelligent Packaging which communicates the quality of food through a sensor in the package or refrigerator camera, contributing to a reduction in food waste.
H.E Stefan Löfven, Prime Minister of Sweden and H.E. Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany, visited the Co-Lab on its first day, while Swedish Prince Carl Philip attended the 3D printing demonstration.
Giovanni Pacini, Electrolux Global Industrial Operations Digital Director participated in several panel discussions about the opportunities digitalization brings to Electrolux and the industry.
