Electrolux has been awarded the prestigious 2009 Good Design Award for the design excellence of four products: the Electrolux Versatility upright vacuum, the Electrolux Oxygen Ultra Air Cleaner, the Eureka-branded Comfort Clean upright vacuum, and the Eureka-branded Zuum Z-series central vacuum system. The Good Design Award is granted to designers and manufacturers around the world for setting the highest standards for the best, most advanced product designs, branding and graphics.
All products and graphics will be exhibited at The Chicago Athenaeum in the Good Design Show in Chicago in June, 2010, and can be viewed online here.

Electrolux Versatility
Upright vacuum. The first bagless upright from Electrolux, features an innovative handle that releases to transform into a long reach telescoping wand system, complete with a crevice tool and dusting brush that have been integrated right onto the wand.
Electrolux Oxygen Ultra with PlasmaWave Air Cleaner
Boasting a sleek design which helps it to provide nearly silent operation, Oxygen Ultra with PlasmaWave uses a superior three stage filtration process to remove odors, allergens and even bacteria from the air to further deliver the healthiest home possible.
Eureka Comfort Clean
Upright vacuum. Easy on users but tough on dirt, Comfort Clean touts powerful cyclonic technology that “steps” into action quickly with automatic cord rewind and foot activated controls that allows for a quick, no-bend cleaning.
Eureka Zuum Z-Series
Built-in central vacuum. Eureka’s latest cleaning innovation that combines powerful, easy cleaning with a sleek European design.
Founded in Chicago in 1950, Good Design is the world’s oldest and most recognized program for design excellence worldwide. The Awards are presented by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design together with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. In 2009, 500 product designs and graphics from over 35 nations that were awarded the Good Design Award for design distinction. Product design awards range from a NASA Manned Mars Exploration Vehicle to a Green Design clean water filtering system for use in rural South Africa.
