Pernilla Johansson is appointed the new Head of Design for Electrolux, effective from November 1, 2018. She replaces Lars Erikson who is retiring.
Johansson is currently Head of Design for the Electrolux business area Home Care & Small Domestic Appliances. She will report to Jan Brockmann, Chief Operations Officer at Electrolux.
“Pernilla has made significant contributions within the design organization over the last 10 years, and I believe she will be a great leader as our new design head,” said Jan Brockmann, Chief Operations Officer at Electrolux. “I’d also like to thank Lars for all of the contributions he’s made over the years and wish him the best in his retirement.”
Johansson will drive design excellence across the seven design centers in Stockholm, Sweden; Sydney, Australia; Singapore; Curitiba, Brazil; Charlotte, US; Shanghai, China; and Vallenoncello, Italy.

Johansson joined Electrolux in 2008 as the Head of Design for Major Appliances in Asia Pacific. Since 2014, she has led the global design team Home Care & Small Domestic Appliances. During this time, the team picked up several international design accolades, including the iF Design Award for Pure i9, which is Electrolux first robotic, connected vacuum cleaner. Before joining Electrolux, she worked for Philips Design in Singapore.
