Electrolux has again been included in the FTSE4Good Index Series, where the company was also ranked among the sector leaders in the rating of its ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) factors.
The FTSE4Good is an equity index designed to support investors in choosing companies that meet globally recognized corporate responsibility standards.
“In addition to the good environmental performance of Electrolux, it is encouraging to see that our efforts in human and labor rights have been recognized, and that we are among the sector leaders,” said Henrik Sundström, VP Electrolux Sustainability Affairs.
Electrolux has been a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series since it was launched in 2001. In the FTSE4Good ESG Ratings, Electrolux this year received a 95% score relative to the highest ranked Personal & Household Goods company, giving it a top 6 position in the sector. The ESG Ratings cover environmental management, climate change, supply chain labor standards, human and labor rights, corporate governance and countering bribery.
“Companies in the FTSE4Good Index Series have met stringent environmental, social and governance criteria, and are positioned to capitalize on the benefits of responsible business practice,” the global index company FTSE Group said in a statement.
