Wolfgang König has been appointed new head of Electrolux Home Products (EHP), the Electrolux Grou’s business sector for white goods outside North America. He will succeed MatsOla Palm, who is retiring.
Wolfgang König, 49, is at present Corporate Vice President for Eastman Kodak Company. Based in London, he is responsible for the Consumer Imaging division in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
He joined Kodak in 1993 as head of German operations and Managing Director of Kodak AG. From 1989 until 1993, he served on the Management Board of Kaufhaus Warenhaus AG in Cologne, and was responsible for logistics, marketing, and strategy. Previous to that, he was in charge of the white goods and consumer electronics business at Quelle in Austria as well as for the company’s retail division. He has also worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in Düsseldorf.
He graduated from Harvard Business School in 1978. He received his law degree in Germany in 1975. He is married and has two children. He currently lives in Esslingen, Germany, and in London.
As head of EHP and Executive Vice President of Electrolux, Wolfgang König will be a member of Group Management Team. He will assume his position in July.
