Our leadership on water and climate recognized again by CDP

Electrolux has been recognized for sustainability leadership by CDP, by securing a “double A” score for tackling climate change and water security for the second year in a row.

External recognition of our environmental leadership

Electrolux is one of a few companies to receive top marks both for our efforts to tackle climate change and acting to protect water security. Electrolux has been on the CDP Climate A list for the past six years and on the Water A list since 2020.

This is the second year in a row that Electrolux has secured a place on the CDP Water “A list” and is recognition of our ongoing work to tackle water security.

Our Leadership score on the CDP Climate questionnaire recognizes our ambitious work toward climate neutral operations by 2030 and a climate neutral value chain by 2050. In 2020, we reported a 70% reduction of carbon emissions in our operations and a 20% emissions reduction in the product use phase compared to 2015. In 2021, we joined the We Mean Business global call for climate action.

“We are proud to have our leadership on climate and water recognized by the CDP again this year,” says Vanessa Butani, VP Group Sustainability. “But at Electrolux, we want to do much more. We’re committed to reaching net zero carbon across our value chain and are working to promote water efficiency both in our operations and in the homes of consumers.”
