Electrolux has named Marisol Manso Cortina to its Design Lab 2009 jury. The jury comprises four internationally-recognized designers who are all presented here at Electrolux Newsroom in individual postings.
Marisol Manso Cortina is the Manager of the Color Design Group at Nissan Design Europe. She is responsible for leading the Color Group on global advanced projects and implementation for the Nissan and Infiniti range within Europe. Nissan Design Europe is an international design studio specifically located in London in order to capture the trends and multicultural influences of the city. She has built her career with automobile manufacturers like the BMW Group where she led the color program for the iconic Mini car.
On September 24, 2009, the jury will choose the winner of the Electrolux Design Lab 2009 global competition at 100% Design London, the UK’s leading architecture and design event. This year’s Design Lab theme is “Designs for the next 90 years” in honor of the Electrolux 90-year anniversary.
Established in 2003, Electrolux Design Lab is an annual global design competition open to undergraduate and graduate industrial design students who are invited to present innovative ideas for household appliances of the future.
Over the years, Design Lab has received thousands of entries from students in more than 100 countries.
