Plus X has named Electrolux the most innovative brand of the year in the product category small domestic appliances. On top of this several individual products received awards, such as the best stick mixer of the year, best hand mixer of the year and best central vacuum of the year.
“This is an incredible achievement for the entire sector. This award will help us to drive the sales of our great products, create stronger brand awareness, and increase our visibility within retail channels,” says Jonas Magnusson, Vice President for the Small Domestic Appliances Product Line in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The Plus X Award—one of the largest industrial awards in the world—honors superior products in a number of categories, such as high quality and functionality. A variety of products, including home appliances, can be submitted. The Plus X jury is made up of 144 neutral members from 32 nations.
To qualify for an award, a product must be of absolutely the highest quality, have a long life-cycle, be functional, and showcase leading-edge design. These requirements must be met before the jury will even consider awarding a product.
Three Electrolux products awarded
- UltraMix/Pro named “Best stick mixer of the year 2012.” The product was honored in the categories high quality, design and functionality.
- EasyCompact/Silent named “Best hand mixer of the year 2012.” The product was honored in the categories high quality and design.
- Oxygen ZCV 870/875 named “Best central vacuum of the year 2012.” The product was honored in the categories high quality, design, functionality and ease of use.
