Electrolux in North America donates $1.2 million in kitchenware

Electrolux is committed to giving back in the communities where we work and live, and last week Electrolux in North America donated $1.2 million in kitchenware to non-profits to celebrate the holidays.

Frigidaire branded pots, pans and utensils – more than 56,000 items in total – were donated at Covid-19 safe free pop-up events held in Anderson, Charlotte, Kinston and Springfield to help stock local kitchens. The non-profit agencies shopped for free at the events and then gave the items to the families and individuals they serve.

One of these non-profits gave 350 families not only food to make their Thanksgiving dinner, but also the Frigidaire pots and pans to use while cooking it.

Head of BA North America Nolan Pike, who was at the Springfield shop where they partnered with United Way to host the event, said: “We often partner to give full appliances to local organizations, but this year we thought there’s a real need for cookware, especially coming into the holidays, so why not help people prepare meals. We appreciate and want to be a part of the Springfield community.”

Brian Hassett, Head of United Way, added: “We are honored and humbled to have the support of Electrolux here in Robertson County. It’s always so amazing to see the business community step up and support families in our community—especially in the pandemic.”
