Electrolux has announced a donation of nearly 1,000 air conditioning units to US inhabitants that has been impacted by the unprecedented heat.
There has been an unrelenting heat in United States the last days. According to media reports, the last weekend Americans dipped into the water, went to the movies and rode the subway just to be in air conditioning for relief. Following this development, Electrolux has announced a $140,000 donation of room air conditioning units to the Crisis Assistance Ministry. The units will aid inhabitants in Charlotte, North Carolina, who have been impacted by unprecedented weather conditions. Electrolux North American business has been headquartered in Charlotte for two years.
The donation provides nearly 1,000 units to the agency for immediate distribution in the community.
“We are committed to giving back to Charlotte and to supporting those who are at real risk from the recent high temperatures,” said Jack Truong, president and CEO of Electrolux Major Appliances North America. “Our air conditioning units will provide immediate, local relief.”
