Electrolux has launched ArchitectConnect, a new tool to help kitchenbuilders and architects see how Electrolux appliances would fit into their plans.
ArchitectConnect contains detailed information about Electrolux consumer and professional appliances, including 3-D drawings, which can be downloaded in different formats for use in CAD-CAM applications, the standards used by architects and home designers.
“ArchitectConnect is an important step in establishing a platform to interact with architects and interior decorators,” says Klaus Salminen, Vice President Group Web Communications, who heads the Electrolux InternetCenter.
“The objectives are to establish ourselves as a design-orientedmanufacturer that caters to the needs of architects and designers. We want to ensure that our products are widely distributed as 3-D models for CAD kitchen planning.”
It was launched early in 2007 Sweden, which is serving as a test country. ArchitectConnect will be rolled in parts of Europe and Asia late in 2007 and early 2008.
“Linking our work in developing 3D graphic formats with new and exiting web based solutions will become more and more important in our drive to create innovative product presentation,” explains Dan Harvie, Retail Marketing Manager for Major Appliances Europe. “ArchitectConnect is a fantastic way of not only showing our product in new ways, but also an opportunity to actively explore and establish relationships in emerging, value driving sales channels.”
