Eliminating Hazardous Substances
  • Eliminate high global warming potential (HGWP) greenhouse gases in foam blowing agents and refrigerants.
  • Replaced the blowing agent HFC 245fa by cyclopentane in one of the major refrigerator factories in the US. 
  • Updated the Restricted Materials List (RML) and released a new version. 
  • Established a global office for coordination and management of chemicals.
  • Substitute HGWP greenhouse gases with alternatives with low global warming potential across the company by 2020. 
  • Update the RML to include new findings. 
  • Continue global roll-out of web based system to collect information from suppliers about chemicals in products.
  • Include Professional products and Asia Pacific region in 2015.
