Electrolux wins multiple international design awards

Electrolux has won multiple international design awards this year, highlighting the company’s commitment to delivering remarkable consumer experiences – with products from dishwashers and refrigerators to water purifiers and window cleaners all being recognized.

Electrolux Group Head of Design Lars Erikson said: “We’re thrilled our products have received so many prestigious awards from around the world. Electrolux Latin America has picked up three prestigious Good Design awards for the LI14X Dishwasher, PA31G water purifier and the DM83X refrigerator. Good Design remains the oldest and most recognized program for design excellence worldwide. Founded in Chicago in 1950, the awards are run by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design who received thousands of submissions from 55 counties this year.

Electrolux Asia Pacific has won two Singapore Good Design Mark Awards (SG Mark) for its UltimateCare washer and Nutrifresh refrigerator. The theme of the awards this year was “Design Makes Life Better” – a concept reflected in the two designs. The UltimateCare washer is designed to extend the lifespan of clothes and reduce the environmental impacts brought by “fast fashion” while the the NutriFresh™ refrigerator features a new thermoforming technology that can keep the temperature in the fridge consistent, to assure freshness and tackle food waste.

Electrolux Professional picked up two prestigious Plus X awards for newly-launched high speed connected snack grill SpeeDelight. Plus X, which is the world’s largest award for technology, sports and lifestyle, recognized the SpeeDelight for its innovation, high quality, design, ease of use and functionality. For this reason it was also awarded the highly-coveted “Best product of the year”.

In Europe, the ComfortLift dishwasher won the iF Design Gold Award. Additional awards went to AEG Mastery kitchen appliances and our booth at IFA 2016. The iF Design Award is one of the world’s most highly regarded design competitions. Recognized as a symbol of design excellence around the world, the award attracts over 5,000 submissions from 70 countries.

Also in Europe, the ComfortLift dishwasher, AEG Mastery range of kitchen appliances, and the AEG Window Cleaner were all awarded Red Dot Design Awards for their outstanding design. For over 60 years, Red Dot has been known as the international seal of outstanding design.
