Electrolux supports wastED London pop-up

Electrolux Professional is supplying commercial kitchen equipment to wastED, a pop-up restaurant brought to London by world-renowned chef Dan Barber to raise awareness of food waste.

wastED, which has taken over the rooftop of London Selfridges until 2 April, sees a team from New York’s acclaimed Blue Hill restaurants – and high-profile guest chefs – craft a menu from often-ignored and un-coveted food waste ingredients. In the UK alone, there is currently around 350,000 tonnes of avoidable food waste a year.

Sustainability is a core value to Electrolux Professional, with equipment designed to reduce the impact on the environment – making it a perfect match for the wastED project. This campaign also leverages the Electrolux Group sustainability promise “Be a force for good,” part of the For The Better framework, which aims to contribute more to addressing global challenges such as food waste and responsible consumption.
