Electrolux picks up three Red Dot Design Awards
The Electrolux Group’s Comfort Lift dishwasher, AEG Mastery range of kitchen appliances and a new window cleaner by AEG have all been awarded prestigious Red Dot Design Awards for their outstanding product design.
The ComfortLift dishwasher was awarded the Red Dot ‘Best of the Best’ – the second top accolade in a month after also scooping a gold iF Design Award for its innovative lifting system for the lower rack, which allows efficient and ergonomic loading. The AEG Mastery range of kitchen appliances was also awarded an iF Design Award last month.
The Red Dot Award for product design this year received submissions from 54 countries and is one of the most renowned awards for good design and innovation. Winners were selected by an international jury of 40 experts with functionality, innovation, quality, and ecological compatibility being some of the criteria on which the decision is based.
“The Red Dot award signifies our commitment at Electrolux to designing remarkable consumer experiences.” says Lars Erikson, Head of Electrolux Design.
The ComfortLift dishwasher and AEG Mastery Range are available in European markets. The AEG WX7 window cleaner, offering streak-free results, is currently being launched in Germany.
The Red Dot Gala celebrating the product design awards will be held on July 3, 2017 in Essen, Germany.
