With the product life-cycle as our guide, Electrolux strive to reduce energy use at every phase of our products’ lifetime. We’re thereby contribute to positive change, reducing our own environmental impact while at the same time generating business opportunities and positive impact on our results.
Electrolux has set specific targets for key areas of performance, including a 2020 hero goal: reducing our carbon footprint across products and operations by 50% from a 2005 baseline. We’re making good progress: by end-2014 we had cut relative greenhouse gas emissions by 22% compared to the base year.
To achieve the 2020 goal, Electrolux has a three-part strategy that focuses on climate-smart products, energy efficiency in our operations and increased consumer awareness.
